The Epson 1400 is the predecessor of the 1290. Like the 1290 the Epson 1400 is a 6 channel dye based printer ideal for glossy colour prints for photographic reproduction. The Lyson ink for the 1400 is an advanced formulation offering an extended colour gamut which produces truly amazing results of vivd colours, good rich blacks and high gloss images.

Monochrome Inks Epson 1400 - An Innovative Solution
Lyson provide an unique solution for photographers who wish to create monochrome prints with the 1400. Trying to create anything closely resembling an acceptable black and white print with a colour dye set is next to impossible. Lyson however have a solution which takes the 1400 printer to a level of excellence never seen before in a dye based ink set. By replacing all the colour ink channels on the 1400 with different densities of grey the chance of any colour cast is totally removed, whilst at the same time the depth of black and the retained detail is nothing short of revolutionary. The Lyson dedicated monochrome ink set turns this lower end printer into an amazing digital reproduction studio, capable of producing monochrome images that surpass traditional techniques.
Lyson have just released the new ink set for the Epson 1400. Using new ink development technology this ink set offers the user a wide colour gamut and exceptional longevity properties. When used with the Lyson Bulk Ink System, ink costs are reduced by 80%. Installation is simple and takes about 30 minutes.
