Custom ICC Printer Profiles

Some users are often perplexed as to why an ICC profile is needed, and the what role does a ICC profile play in the output of prints, below is an extremely short and basic explanation.

An ICC Profile controls the colour information sent from the computer to the printer, each ink set has a slightly different colour gamut, a profile ensures that the printer correctly translates the colour information from the computer to the printer. Many ink manufactures offer generic profiles with their inks, and in most cases these produce acceptable results, however to recreate the best possible prints when using either MediaStreet or Lyson inks on the R2400 printer we recommend a custom profile be created, these are cheap and full instructions on how to get set up using ICC are included with each Bulk Ink System, we are also happy to answer any questions you may have on installing or using ICC profiles.
