A printer profile is nothing more than a text file with information on how colours should be interpreted by an output device such as a printer, however to get accurate colours a ICC printer profile is essential.
Windows XP Shortcut to Install
On Windows XP users can just drag the ICC profile onto their desktop and just right click and select Install Profile, Windows will then install the profile into the correct location

PC Operating Systems
Windows XP = my computer - c: - windows – system32 – spool – drivers - then drag and drop into the color folder
Windows 2000 = my computer - c: - windows – system32 – spool – drivers - then drag and drop into the color folder
Windows 98 = my computer - c: - windows – system - then drag and drop into the color folder
Mac Operating Systems
Mac OSX = MacHD - Users - imac(home) - library - colour sync - then drag and drop into the profiles folder
Mac OS9 = MacHD - system - then drag and drop into the colorsync profiles folder

Why would I pay for a custom Profile
Why would I pay for a custom profile when I can download a profile for free. We get asked this question all the time, and it would seem insane to pay for something that you can get for free.
